Eastside’s Dane Sebert Named ANEC Boys’ Track Performer of the Week (Regionals)

Eastside’s Dane Sebert is the second to last ANEC Girls’ Track Performer of the Week for the 2024 season. 1,306 votes were submitted via Google Forms and 475 of them went to Sebert (IU Track commit) after he was crowned a Regional Champion in the Shot Put (Regional Record 62-2.5) and discus (Regional Record-177-0) @ the Carroll Regional.

This week’s runner up went to Norwell’s Trevon Stoppenhagen with 402 votes after he finished in 2nd place in the 100 (10.63 seconds) and 200M (21.76 seconds), and was apart of the regional championship 4×100 Relay Team (42.49 seconds) @ the Carroll Regional. Norwell placed 3rd with 36.5 points, only trailing runners-up Northrop and champion Homestead. Columbia City’s Marcus Ridge (384 votes) was crowned a Regional Champion in the 1600M Run (4:16.71), and was a runner-up in the 800M Run (1:57.22) @ the Goshen Regional.

Westview’s Noah Bontrager (37 votes) was crowned a Regional Champion in the 1600M (4:18.56) and 3200M (9:25.48) runs @ the Carroll Regional. Leo’s Nolan Miller (8 votes) Runner-Up in the 400M Dash (50.10 seconds), and was apart of the runner-up 4×400 Relay Team (3:23.39) @ the Carroll Regional.

Best of luck to all of our state finalists as they compete in Bloomington on Saturday. I hope to have all of the track content caught up in anticipation for the state finals!
